Psychotherapy for

Chronic Fatigue (CFS/ME)

Before coming to see me, clients feel misunderstood and unsupported.

They feel like no one understands the impact their fatigue. Like they have to prove their disability. They find themselves questioning whether they are truly ill. They feel lost at how to navigate this chronic condition.

It’s hard for them to get a handle on what they should and shouldn’t do to cope with this condition, not to exacerbate their symptoms. It’s overwhelming and feels impossible.

I can help.

Reasons clients come to see me.

Feeling Lost and Hopeless

You may be feeling alone and lost in your CFS journey. Many health practitioners are not equipped to support you and you haven't received guidance on how to move forward in your life.

Shame /Self Judgement/ Guilt

You may be experiencing these emotions as you are unable to meet the expectations around you, or perhaps in moments where you are unable to do what you used to be able to.

Other Mental Health Difficulties

There are high rates of other mental health conditions alongside CFS/ME. Perhaps you are experiencing a lot of worry, anxiety, feeling down, depressed or finding social interactions to be difficult.

New Diagnosis of CFS

You are just recently diagnosed and are unsure of where to start with managing this life changing reality.

Post Exertional Malaise

You are unsure how to manage all that you need to get done in your life with this chronic condition and therefore are experiencing a lot of symptoms and post exertional malaise.

Feelings of Grief

Perhaps you are having a hard time managing the loss of all the things you had built in your life. You find yourself even feeling sadness about the future you feel you can no longer have.

How I Help

We will start by getting a clear understanding of how the chronic fatigue is impacting you, as well as how any of your other struggles relate to the chronic fatigue. From there, we will set goals and develop a plan for therapy.

I work from a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy approach while also integrating nervous system, acceptance and grief work as well as mindfulness, all specifically adapted to support CFS/ME.

Based on lived experience, training and extensive research, I am here to support you in living the best life that you can within the constraints of CFS/ME.
